In fact, one of the best places to fish in the entire state is located in Camden County. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ll have a blast fishing around here.

In Missouri, the Lake of the Ozarks is a gold mine for fisherman. Located in the northeast part of the county there are plenty of places to cast your line. The water in any part of the waterway can be anything from dingy to muddy but don’t let that stop you. There are plenty of fish for the catching including catfish, bluegill, walleye, crappie and bass.

Certain areas on the lake prohibit fishing, so make sure to stay within the sanctioned areas. Also be aware that any crappie caught must be at least 9 inches in length and black bass, large and small mouth, must be at least 15 inches in length while the spotted bass must be at least 12 inches in length.

If you’re looking for areas for boat launching, you’ll find two paved boat ramps located at the public beaches.
