The Best Places to Camp in Camden County, MO

Camden County, MO offers some awesome camping options. Whether you’re looking to pitch a tent for the weekend and roast marshmallows over a campfire, or you’d rather stay in your RV or even a little log cabin, you’ve got some wonderful options to choose from. Check out some of my favorite spots below!

Lake of the Ozarks State Park

Lake of the Ozarks State Park camping is definitely at the top of the list. It’s a great location close to the state park with plenty of daytime activities available. It’s located near the lake for great fishing opportunities, so bring your fishing pole! It’s open year round so you’re welcome to come anytime at your convenience, but it’s always smart to make reservations ahead of time! There are showers and water available in some of the areas and electricity is also available. Take your next trip to Lake of the Ozarks State Park and experience one of the best places to camp in Missouri.

Lake of the Ozark Linn Creek KOA

Lake of the Ozark Linn Creek KOA is another great place to stay. Located off Highway 54 in Linn Creek it’s easy to access. They have RV camping areas, primitive tent areas and even log cabin rentals. They also have a children’s playground, a pool and a recreation room so the whole family can have a great time. They’re open year-round and have wireless internet access.

Osage Beach RV Park

Osage Beach RV Park is the only campground by Osage Beach, so if you love that area it’s going to be your only option. They’ve got a nice big RV park with modern accommodations including a pool and laundry facilities. They’re close to places for shopping, eating, golfing and bowling. There are some nice shady areas as well as fire pits.

Traditional Lodging

For those looking for a place to stay and not so much a campground here are a few other options: Lake Breeze Resort, Irish Hills Lakeside Resort, Red Oak Resort and RV park, Dave’s Hideaway Motel, Sleep Inn and Suites Lake of the Ozarks, Point View Resort and the Lodge at Old Kinderhook.
